If you are passionate about preserving the heritage of the American chuck wagon and the American West, ACWA membership is open to individuals and organizations.
ACWA membership is open to cooks, open camp fire cooking enthusiasts, historians, anyone who owns and operates an authentic wagon and is interested in participating in judged events and in the fellowship of organized gatherings.
Benefits of ACWA Membership:
- Receipt of the ACWA quarterly newsletter, “Under the Fly“
- Receipt of the ACWA Monthly Update
- Keep up to date on Events and Gatherings across the United States
- Invitation to the ACWA Annual Meeting held every Fall.
Membership, newsletter ads, and website ad fees are due starting January 1st.
Types of Membership:
- Individual – $40
- Couple or two individuals within same household – $60
- Event or Organization – $100 (Veteran Events see below)
- Lifetime – A one-time fee for one individual – $500
- International members should include an additional $5.00 to cover processing and/or postage costs.
Event Membership level offers the same benefits as an individual membership plus you will get your event’s information (up to three pages) sent to all ACWA members as well as posting(s) of registration, event details and results in the monthly ACWA Monthly Update and/or ACWA quarterly newsletter, Under the Fly as well as on the ACWA website and Facebook Page. Please note: Any event supporting local Veteran groups can receive the same benefits as a paid event for free!
How to Join ACWA
Click on the “General Store” tab above and choose “ACWA Memberships”. You can pay online. Print the membership form from the links below and eMail to address below. Or, print the form and mail with your check to the address below.
1. By mail: Download the Membership Form, Link above. Complete it and mail it along with the appropriate membership fee to: ACWA, P.O. Box 626, Belton TX 76513
2. Email: Download the ACWA Membership Form, see link above. Print, complete and email the completed form to: acwa@chuckwagon.org and pay online using your credit card (with no additional fee) by clicking on the Store tab.
ACWA Awards
The ACWA AWARDS are designed to honor those outstanding individuals and/or events who have contributed to the ACWA in an effort to better the organization through their commitment, leadership, dedication, public outreach and service in preserving the time period of the chuck wagon heritage.
Only individuals/events that have a paid membership are allowed to nominate and/or vote for an individual/event for the various awards. For the current process and nomination form, check out the MEMBERS ONLY tab.
