Chuck Wagon Etiquette

  • Strangers are always welcome at the chuck wagon.
  • Do not tie your horse to the wagon wheel. Stay outside of Cookie’s domain.
  • No one eats until Cookie calls
  • It’s okay to eat with your fingers. The food is clean.
  • If you’re fillin’ the coffee cup and someone yells, “Man at the pot.” You’re the man obligated to serve refills.
  • Don’t take the last serving until you’re sure that you’re the last man.
  • No running or saddling a horse near the wagon. And when your ride off, always ride down wind from the wagon.
